Alex is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Oregon.  He also holds a Master Electrician's License.  He has worked as an electrician, power engineer, powerplant operator, and consulting engineer. 

He is currently employed as a Field Engineer by a Pacific Northwest firm that manufactures equipment vital to protecting our electric power system from failures and accidents.

He has volunteered as a mentor in a juvenile residency program and as a victim advocate in Colorado.  He has been a volunteer firefighter with the City of Gates and the City of Corvallis and is a certified Firefighter I in the state of Oregon.  Alex lives in Corvallis with his wife and son.
